FAQ
Where are you located?
~ I am located in a tiny farming town Northwest Ohio with a population of about 800 people.
How are your shirts made and why do they take so long?
~When we get a new order in, we immediately order the shirt we will be using and the transfer. Due to the current size of our company we are unable to print our own transfers so we order them from a small company in Columbus Ohio. This company will then print our design using a special heat activated ink that will resist cracking and peeling. We inspect each garment and transfer as soon as we get them in for any flaws. We then wash each shirt so that they come to you already preshrunk and ready to be worn. The design is meticulously placed onto the shirt using a special ruler and guide to ensure it is centered and straight. It then goes into our heat press to infuse the ink to the shirt. Each shirt goes through the heat press no less than 4 different times to give you the highest quality possible. We inspect the shirt for any possible flaws we may have missed the first time and to ensure the ink is properly infused onto the shirt. It is then packaged up and shipped by UPS to your door.
What kind of shirts do you use?
~I have found that Gildan shirts give my products the best quality and comfort. They are made with at least 50% sustainably grown cotton and manufactured using at least 45% renewable energy. I prewash each order before pressing so that any shrinkage is done before the customer gets them as well as to preserve the quality of each design.
Why should I buy from you instead of a large company?
~We are proud to offer sizes up to 5x in a true to size fit. Not only that but each shirt is hand inspected with the utmost precision. If I personally would not wear it, it will not leave my work room. We celebrate each order as it means another victory, another dance class, another fan. Big CEOs won't even notice your name, just your bill. We have won an award for our sizing inclusion and dedication to quality and have been featured on both Insider Weekly and Women's Week (See Awards and articles tab for links to the articles)
Where do you get your designs?
~ We come up with a lot of our designs ourselves, using Photoshop. Inspiration can come from anywhere such as music, family and customer suggestions, and even just watching my granddaughter play. The designs that we don't do ourselves, we buy from a graphic artist.
What can I do to help my new shirt last as long as possible?
~ When properly cared for, your new shirt will last for 50-100 washes! Be sure to turn it inside out and wash in cold water on the gentle cycle. Be sure to avoid using any fabric softeners or bleach as these can deteriorate the design. Air dry or use the lowest heat setting on tumble dry.
